About Us

Independent information about net metering

Our Mission

SalderCheck helps Dutch solar panel owners understand their financial future. The net metering scheme will end completely on January 1, 2027, and many people don't know what this means for their energy bill.

We offer an independent, transparent calculator that shows how different scenarios work out: doing nothing, getting a home battery, or switching to a dynamic energy contract. We show our calculations and acknowledge the uncertainties.

We built this tool because we needed it ourselves. There was no honest, transparent overview of the options after the end of net metering. Now there is.

How It Works

Our calculator uses official data sources and realistic assumptions to calculate your energy costs for different scenarios:

Data Sources

  • KNMI: Solar irradiance and weather data for realistic production calculations based on your location
  • NEDU: Standard consumption profiles to model your hourly electricity usage
  • ENTSO-E: Historical electricity prices for dynamic contract calculations

Independence

  • We don't sell solar panels or batteries. We're an information tool, not a webshop.
  • We don't share your data with third parties. No salespeople will call you.
  • Affiliate links are clearly marked. This is how we keep the tool free.
  • We show our calculations transparently – you can verify the math.

Affiliate Program

SalderCheck is free to use thanks to affiliate partnerships with energy providers. If you sign up through our links, we may receive a small commission. This doesn't cost you anything extra and helps us maintain and improve the tool.

Our Partners

Our promise: Recommendations are based on your situation, not our commissions.
